About Erasmus Guides
The No-B.S. Survival Hub for Your Semester Abroad.
Hey there, future Erasmus student!
If you are reading this, you’re probably in the middle of planning the best semester of your life. But let’s be honest: you are also probably stressed about finding a legit apartment, figuring out your real monthly budget, and trying to understand which neighborhoods are actually safe and fun.
We know the feeling because we’ve been exactly where you are.
Why We Started This Site
When we were preparing for our own Erasmus exchange, we spent hours scrolling through outdated university forums, confusing Facebook groups filled with housing scams, and generic travel blogs that only talked about museums.
Nobody was answering the real questions: How much does a beer actually cost? Which student dorms are terrible? Where do international students actually hang out on a Tuesday night?
That’s exactly why Erasmus Guides was born. We created the platform we wish we had before packing our bags.
What You Will Find Here
We don’t do boring, generic tourist guides. Our destination hubs are built specifically for students living on an Erasmus grant. Here is what we focus on:
Realistic Cost of Living: Honest breakdowns of rent, groceries, and transport.
Verified Housing Tips: The best student neighborhoods and safe links to book your room, so you don’t get scammed on Facebook.
The Real Vibe: Where the local ESN parties happen, the cheapest bars, and the best hidden spots in the city.
Budget Travel: How to use your new city as a base to explore Europe without going broke.
How We Keep the Site Running (Total Transparency)
You might notice some links to housing platforms, bus tickets, or travel insurance on our city guides. Some of these are affiliate links.
This means that if you book a room or a ticket through our links, we might earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us pay for the website hosting, keep the guides updated for 2026, and drink enough coffee to keep writing! We only recommend platforms that are safe and genuinely useful for students.
